High Grade Core at Alpala.

SolGold Geologists hone in on the high grade core of the Aplala Deposit.  UST (Uniderectional Solidification Textures) identified in near the bottom of drill hole show quartz crystal intergrowth with magnetite lining.  The presence of magnetite contemporaneous with early crystal growth indicates that the driving porphyry system at Alpala was extremely oxidised.  Highly oxidised melts are able to carry high gold grades as seen in previous drilling results to date at Alpala.

UST textures allow geologists to determine the relative ages of individual stocks as well as the approximate orientation of stock contacts.

These features are an invaluable aid in detailed mapping of multiple-intrusion systems like Alpala.
